My weekly record of my life and adventures. This is also where I answer Rick Requests Questions.
So you found the site eh? All right, here is my first entry.
My name is Rick Stone, and no one ever believes me. That's the problem. I work for the Weekly Impulse Newspaper, as you no doubt know. Unfortunately,
everyone thinks my paper is nothing but a bunch of lies and photoshopped images. Nothing could be further from the truth, we haven't used photoshop in Years.
Our photos are real and so our stories. Every line I type is the unvarnished truth. If you don't have the good sense to believe that microwave radiation mutates
food into tiny, evil mutant entrees, that's not my problem, just don't come crying to me when the mutants come.
Check back on the site every Friday and I'll update my blog for you,
and keep you up with what I'm doing.
It'll be a while before the next episode of the show is up, but stay with me and I'll help keep you safe from zombies, aliens, and other oddities.
See you next time.
Rick Stone Blog Entry 2, September 1st
When I meet people they usually ask me two questions: "Where do you work?" and " Why?!"
People can't seem to understand while a person like me, who seems to have a fully functioning
brain, would work at a place like the Weekly Impulse, a cheap tabloid that no one has any faith in. Well folks, it's not all about money or Accolades, because I only receive a small amount of the former and none of the latter.
I guess I work for the weekly impulse because I believe that the truth is a very real thing, and that people need to know it. I'm not one of those sorts who thinks that truth is relative, Truth is a very real thing. What it is, and what isn't definitely isn't, just because you think zombies aren't real won't stop them from eating your brain.
I guess that's why I do this. To let people know what's real, even if they don't believe it.
Check back on Friday for another update.
Yours truly, Rick Stone.
Rick Stone Blog Entry 3 September 10th, 2008.
I was checking through our forum and found a question from a new fan, Leela.
Remember, my job is to inform, so if you have any questions just leave them in our forum under Rick Stone Requests.
Anyway, Leela writes: "I was wondering, are there any other reporters for the Weekly Impulse? Or is it just an independent sort of thing? Just out of idle curiosity."
First, let me remind you that curiosity is never Idle. Second, we have a staff of about fifty or so people working behind the scenes. There's my friend Melissa Monroe, who runs our helpful home section and teaches our readers how to zombie proof their houses. Then there's our Washington Insider Fred, who conclusively proved that Calvin Coolidge was made of stone. And down the hall is Sahanna Ajastha, who is our public relations chair. She keeps us out of court whenever I report that the head of a major corporation has been manipulating the space time continuum for personal gain.
We have lots of other people here, and I'm proud to say that I work with them, except when they forget to make coffee.
Thanks for the Question Leela!
yours truly,
Rick Stone
